Hill walking on the Serre de Quintillan

AUDE - Corbières

Mid December Hill walking on the Serre de Quintillan in the High Corbières, near Cascastel - a wayside cross on a track that was probably the major route up to Quintillan. At one time pilgrimages or walks were taken from the village to a local wayside cross. I'm not sure just why they are in a particular place whether it is chance or there is some long lost local significance
