The "Fête de la Musique" is held every year on evening of the 21st of June, the day of the Summer Solstice, a pagan night and recalls the ancient tradition of Saint John's feast. It has been held in most French towns since 1982 and is now spreading round the World - 'The Calm before the Storm', the bars going up on the Allées
