HERAULT - Balaruc le Vieux

Situated on the "Etang de Thau" - Balaruc le Vieux & Balaruc les Bains are peaceful villages overlooking the oyster beds in the Etang (sea water lakes found all along this stretch of the Mediterranean Sea) we watched the Midi Canal hire boats as they passed from port to port along the protected shores of the inland sea. The Canal du Midi passes through here between Séte and Agde.
