Aveyron - La Cavalerie - Larzac
"la Méridienne" - the A75 - the "Viaduct de Millau", which takes the road over the River Tarn - heading on to the Larzac Plain - then on into the Hérault Departement.
Although "Friday the 13th. 1307" saw the suppression of the Knights Templiers (under the orders of the then King of France - Phillipe le Bel).
La Cavalerie continued as a major halt on the route to the South - in the late 17th. Century there were many Inns to cater for travellers - this is the "Post House" constructed then.
