Toussaint or All Saints Day - Cascastel
1st November is Toussaint or All Saints. French families buy chrysanthemums for the graves. Cascastel cemetery is typical of many all over the Languedoc. The 2nd November is the "Fêtes des Morts" but it is Toussaint that is the holiday. My local informant told me that on the 2nd November, when he was young, (he is 80) they all processed to the cemetery whereupon the priest went round swinging incense over the graves
