St Guilhem le Désert

St Guilhem le Désert nestles in a valley to the north-west of Montpellier, the village was conquered by Guilhem, one of Emperor Charlemagne's knights from a Saracen knight, the remains of whosse castle are still visible on the steep hills that surround the village.
