Canal du Midi. - the "Seuil de Naurouze"

The highest point on the Canal du Midi.

The "Seuil de Naurouze" - dating from from the 17th century. Originally it was intended to be a "Grand Basin" - a lake to store water for the canal, but is kept silting up and was transformed into a park.

This avenue of Plane Trees are amongst the oldest in France, having been planted in 1806
