Albi .......

The Cathedral Basilica of Saint Cecilia dominating the City of Albi. First built as a fortress in the aftermath of the Albigensian (Cathar) Crusade; begun in 1282 and under construction for 200 years, it is claimed to be the largest brick building in the world

Unusualy, the main entrance is on the South facing wall of the building. The entrances are normally at the West end, facing up the Nave. This is an unusual Gothic Portico.
